With both creatures facing us, we hesitated for a second. But the worm decided it would like a taste of elf, and grabbed me up in it's jaws. While the others scrambled, I managed to break free of is bite. The giant yeti breathed a biting cold at us, managing to freeze us through armor and clothing. We backed off for a minute in order to use healing magic while the remohraz and the yeti faced off. We decided to tag team the worm while the yeti fought it, so Logru and I got up behind it to attack and Kethys summoned a group of wolves to harry it. This time, the chilling gaze of the yeti froze me while the worm slashed at me repeatedly. I was at death's door. I couldn't focus on what was going on around me, but I could hear everyone yelling, with the yeti and remorhaz bellowing and screeching too. Suddenly, my pain lessened and I saw Najila finishing the spell she cast on me. Logru was freeing himself from the mouth of the remorhaz. As soon as he did, I called upon Tyr to strengthen my blade, and smote the great worm. The blow proved to be too much for it, and it collapsed. With only the giant yeti left, we were able to finally slay the beast. A long and arduous fight ended, and we took a much needed rest. After some sleep, we felt refreshed and continued on with our search. We did find a secret passageway behind the throne in the mess hall. Following that, it seems that it lead to the king's quarters. Things were fairly undisturbed here. There was some kind of contraption that had to do with the bed, but I didn't understand what it did, and we weren't able to lift it. We'll have to come back later and see what we can do. Leaving the king's room, there was an anti-chamber which had two statues depicting female frost giant warriors. No sooner than we entered that room, than they came to life and attacked us. We destroyed them without too much trouble. However, after the fight, we were startled to see the ghost of a female frost giant child. She wasn't malevolent or anything, but just seemed like she wanted to talk to someone. Her name was Indra, and her father was a lieutenant to the old king. She said that something had awoken her (she died before the giant migration, but after the big battle) and the king, and that he was filled with rage. The only other thing she could tell us was that the crypt was below us a ways. So we headed back to the display room, with Indra following us quietly. We explored the only hallway we had not been down yet, and it was the general living quarters, with doorways pretty much evenly spaced for a long stretch. We we brought to a halt by a large chasm that split the hallway across. It was hundreds of feet deep, but we could see the hallway stretching on past it. It looked to be brought on by an earthquake or other natural occurrence. So we prepared to cross it and make our way down to the end.
