So since Rathimund had gleaned the location of Adorned in Brass' lair, we decided to head there. We sailed until we eventually got to shallow waters that were impassible by our boat. We set anchor and headed into the Oasis at the end of this waterway. It was creepy, all cult-like, with people milling about and just staring. We decided to hang around, see what this was all about, see if maybe we could find info on the missing girl. People here did seem affected by the plague, but they didn't seem to be dying from it. There was a big shrine in the middle of this compound, with a giant basin in the center overflowing with water from the river. Which we felt bore closer investigation. But first, we were distracted by a large explosion far off in the distance. By my calculations, it was in Thorns. It was troubling, but since it was so far away and we had more pressing matters on our minds, we resolved to think about it later. We were curious what this Adorned in Brass was like, so we waited to see one of his ceremonies. Typical worship stuff. Afterward, Isha wanted to talk to this head priest, Carthack. So we marched down into the temple, and she demanded an audience. Carthack and his acolytes weren't very forthcoming. In fact, they attacked, with Carthack animating the giant statue of Adorned in Brass to also attack us. So I let loose some arrows, Rathimund dropped some magic, and Isha swung her sword, and they all lay dead or destroyed at our feet. We delved deeper into the compound, where we saw the chamberlain Walks in Sunlight, who had absconded with the girl, in a room with a giant egg and a river that flowed impossibly up, towards the surface and to the basin. Another fight broke out when Sunny and some strange monkey creatures attacked. Having spent a lot of our energy on the acolytes and the construct, we eventually ignored the primates and the egg (which seemed to not budge under the force of Isha's blows) and focused on Sunny. He eventually went down after hitting the wall with a sickening crack. At the same time, the egg hatched, revealing a naked Song, her forehead bleeding greenish blood from an hourglass looking symbol. She quickly flew off into the upflowing stream, which quickly carried her out of there. Since the temple began to collapse, we followed suit, the water quickly carrying us to the surface, where we ran to safety before the temple sunk into the ground. What had Adorned in Brass done to Song? And what was that big explosion earlier about?
