Biological father of [[farne:protagonists:grey:index|Jarlath "Grey" Eleutherius]], his bloodline was designed to be a passive-but-powerful blend of Earth and Fire elemental heritages.  Caius was willingly betrothed to [[farne:actors:marina|Marina Solara]].

Prior to his premature death, his skillsets included blacksmithing and jewelcraft.  He showed a fair aptitude at the two conjoined pursuits despite limited formalized training.

Despite leading an otherwise uneventful life, his personality would be described today as "bipolar" or "manic depressive."  He had a notorious tendency to move and act slowly and steadily, punctuated by dramatically sudden and violent outbursts.  During his more introspective moments, Caius would describe himself as a "dormant volcano, seething beneath a calm surface."
