==== Vrask ====

Vrask was the most powerful god in the history of Farne.  He collected 9 [[farne:artifacts:Seals Of Divinity|Seals Of Divinity]] and dominated Upper and Lower Thalia and Shesslia with his cults.  His alliance with [[farne:cosmology:Barshemoth]] put him in direct confrontation with [[farne:cosmology:Azranael]] and her servants.  With Kaz's help, [[farne:cosmology:lesser_powers#The Shadow|Kern Schatten]] defeated him following the death of his cleric, Malric Nightshadow (wow, terrible name!).  His (Vrask's, not Malric's) death spawned the birth of no fewer than 4 gods (including The Shadow).  All these years later, all of his power has yet to be recovered. The [[farne:locations:Citadel in Dreams]] continues to hold these remaining powers, defying would-be grave-robbers.


==== Alieal ====

The deity of sensual pleasures and slumber was always more a lover than a fighter.  When the world turned itself inside out, she stood no chance when faced with the machinations of [[farne:cosmology:Lesser Powers#Angrax|Angrax]].  The jealous dwarf butchered the sleeping elf maid without provocation.


==== Daika ====

Following the death of Alieal, Daika could not forgive himself for failing to defend the defenseless elf maid.  Giving in to despair, he disemboweled himself in the mountains to the north of [[farne:locations:Yamazakura]]


==== Rydis ====

Following [[farne:cosmology:Lesser Powers#The Shadow|The Shadow's]] ascendancy over Vrask, Rydis sensed weakness.  Unfortunately, he sensed wrong.  As the Shadow's star waxed, Rydis was rebuffed.  Fundamentally a coward, Rydis turned to flee, where he was attacked by Maraketh.  Maraketh quickly finished off one of the original gods.

==== Maraketh ====

The original god of Kobolds, Maraketh was the paragon of opportunists.  Seeing Rydis in his weakened state was an opportunity he could not pass up.  Stalking the wounded god following his disastrous attack on [[farne:cosmology:Lesser Powers#The Shadow|the Shadow]], Maraketh quickly dispatched the unfortunate goblin king.  Fearing the power of such a vile diety, Shehennie and Dianyphous combined their forces to lay the Lord of Kobold's low.

==== Alvarn ====

The first dark elf, Alvarn had a long history with the elves of Valenost.  It is no surprise then that Liese, goddess of thieves, and friend of the Valenesti chose to torment the hapless god by stealing one of his [[farne:artifacts:Seals of Divinity|Seals of Divinity]].  This provided more than sufficient incentive for [[farne:cosmology:Lesser Powers#Kanitar]], the former thieves' guildmaster of [[farne:locations:Al'Raheem]], to strike.  Alvarn fell quickly with a dagger in his back and a question on his lips.

==== Echnis ====

The god of technology long since saw his powers and followers wane.  The writing was on the wall, and all that remained was for an enterprising sort to put the final nail in his coffin.  The one that held the hammer was [[farne:cosmology:Lesser Powers#Fugiri]].

==== Harvisk ====

Perhaps being the god of misfortune doomed him to his fate.  Following the massive loss of population in Masayume, [[farne:cosmology:Lesser Powers#Takagi|Takagi]]'s constellation was dim indeed.  When the opportunity arose, Takagi struck the poor Harvisk (who was never really worthy of godhood anyway), and it was over before any knew what was happening...
