===== The Greater Powers ===== ==== Esundor ==== Portfolio: Fire \\ Brash and arrogant, Esundor is the embodiment of seething fire. His nemesis is Eäróniel, the Ice Maiden. Esundor, like most Greater Powers, has very little interest in the affairs of others, be they mortal, immortal, or diety. Esundor's sole motivation is the spread of flame and the abolishment of the Ice Maiden. His avatar is a huge hulking humanoid of pure fire. Esundor has very few clerics, and those that do are often characterized as chaotic and highly destructive, often without meaning to be. ==== Eäróniel ==== Portfolio: Ice Subtle and calculating, Eäróniel exists to drive Esundor from the battlefield. Like Esundor, she has no interest in the affairs of Lesser Powers and mortals. Her motivation is the spread of the great glaciers that mark her realm into Esundor's fiery pits. Her avatar is a beautiful human or elven female that appears to be crying at all times from cold blue eyes. Eäróniel's clerics are subtle, making time their ally instead of their enemy in their struggles. ==== Arienwe ==== Portfolio: Productive Earth Wild and unpredictable, Arienwe is the embodiement of growth. She wages a reluctant war against Drith. Unlike most Greater Powers, she actively engages mortals and Lesser Powers to quickly push back Drith and return to the her Forests. Her avatar is a beautiful elven woman, often wearing simple browns and greens with small bits of twigs and leaves covering her form, yet looking regal nonetheless. Her clerics are usually found amongst the farmers, as many view Arienwe to be mother Earth. ==== Drith ==== Portfolio: Dead Earth Methodical and determined, Drith constantly battles Arienwe, seeking to wear her down under his endless assaults. He has little to do with the affairs of Lesser Powers and Mortals. He seeks to overcome Arienwe's forests with his creeping Desert. His avatar is a simple man in brown robes, though many consider him to have a very dry wit. His clerics are a secretive bunch, many living in the great desert cities seeking to expand the deserts. ==== Uelali ==== Portfolio: Water Unpredictable and dangerous, Uelali is the embodiement of the power of water. She seeks to drown Cephris in her torrential downpours, and overwhelm his deserts with her vast oceans. She has little contact with the other Powers or mortals. Uelali constantly strikes against Cephris in an eternal assault. Her avatar is a massive watery humanoid that tends to act irrationally. She has few clerics, but is loved by farmers who value the water she embodies ==== Cephris ==== Portfolio: Dryness Resolute and steadfast, Cephris is the embodiment of the great protector as he flourishes despite Uelali's devestating assaults. Cephris acknowledges other Powers and mortals, but remains aloof. Cephris is commonly seen as a giant humaoid constructed entirely of salt. He works with Arienwe to nurture rain forests to siphon off the fury that is Uelali. Cephris' clerics are a noble folk, sought by many for their wisdom and guidance. ==== Aisyndyr ==== Portfolio: Wind Daughter of Uelali, Aisyndyr was born a cyclone in her mother's raging heart. Aisyndyr seeks to actively engage other Greater Powers and mortals, though most endeavour to avoid her flightly ways. The very essence of turbulent air and chaos, she races about, experiencing the thrill of existance. Her avatar is a beautiful wind-whipped winged elven female with tattered rags for clothing and always swirling hair. Her clerics are often wild folk. ==== Danackes ==== Portfolio: Stagnation Son of Cephris, Danackes is the great bastion which Aisyndyr races about. While techinally not at war with her, he finds her far to excitable, and as a result distances himself from the other Greater Powers as well as mortals. His avatar is a slow moving, heavy set man, though terrible when aroused to action. Danackes has very few clerics, and he is often cursed by sailors and the like. ==== Enanye ==== Portfolio: Magic Enanye is the embodiment of life and magic. She wages an eternal battle in the nothingness against Keslaar. Enanye actively engages mortals, eschewing the company of the other Greater Powers in her battle against Keslaar. Her avatar is usually an elven woman of immense grace, though her form can take any guise. Objects of various types occasionally spring to life in her presense on the material plane. ==== Keslaar ==== Portfolio: Magic Keslaar is the embodiment of magic and death. He seeks to crush Enanye and spread nothingness throught the cosmos. Keslaar actively engages mortals in his battle against Enanye, though most are put off by his association with Death. His avatar is usually a cold elven male in dark robes, though like Enanye, his form can take any guise. Plants and small animals sometimes spontaneously die in his presense on the material plane.
