As a human, Fi's father worked for the feds, had a top secret clearance/job where he had to work with a man named Robert Schultz on occasion. To this day she still does not know what her dad did for a living, but he was certainly well paid for it.

Fi was recruited into the vii as a human after Robert Schultz took an interest in her and her PhD work when he met her at some kind of gov't box social that she attended with her father. She was hired straight out of her MIT biomedical engineering PhD program (after she graduated) in 1960. She did not have a clue what she was getting into until Robert turned her (against her will), then everything became crystal clear.

When her eyes were opened to the world of the supernatural, her views on such things were biased -- a trained bias. She was always taught by Robert that supernatural beings were evil and the country needed to be cleansed of their taint, despite the fact that both he and she counted among their ranks. And so, to that end, years and years later, the "Brittney project" was born.

For the "Brittney project", which Fi was tasked to run, an orphan girl (someone no one would
miss) was chosen, and the child's body chemistry altered using a technique Fi worked on for years, which gives a human the ability to "smell" vampiric taint. The only problem -- [[nwod:humans:brittney|Brittney]]'s body had to remain prepubescent to retain the mods -- adult bodies would reject the changes. The drugs were hormonal which ended up hindering the child's physical growth.

A few years after this project had been underway, Fi decided that it was wrong to do this to [[nwod:humans:brittney|Brittney]], but she didn't know what to do about it, as any refusals on her part were sure to result in her death. Fi's ghoul, Dave, was able to perceive her true desire to get Brittney out of there without her stating it explicitly. And so, he left, taking [[nwod:humans:brittney|Brittney]] with him.

Fi got in trouble for [[nwod:humans:brittney|Brittney]]'s "kidnapping" and was tasked to find her, "or else". And so, Fi left DC for the ATL to search for [[nwod:humans:brittney|Brittney]], but not knowing what she should do when she found her. At this point Dave had disappeared (he ceased contacting her about his status) and she was worried that someone had discovered [[nwod:humans:brittney|Brittney]]'s powers and taken her from him. During her search for [[nwod:humans:brittney|Brittney]], she met [[tyrell_nichols|Tyrell Nichols]] and [[julian_astor_iii|Julian Astor III]].

[[Tyrell Nichols]] and [[julian_astor_iii|Julian Astor III]] helped Fi to find [[nwod:humans:Brittney]] and to resolve her ties to the vii, while she helped them to take care of their Brotherhood of Scion problem.

Presently, Fi is now part of the Atlanta Ordo Dracul, and she lives with [[julian_astor_iii|Julian]] up in Alpharetta.
