====== Entry 04: Attack Sith Jawa Droid ====== [ [[starwars:protagonists:tara:reports:entry03|Previous]] ] [ [[starwars:protagonists:tara:reports:index|Back]] ] [ [[starwars:protagonists:tara:reports:entry05|Next]] ] The inevitable fight between the Sith Jawa and Cookie began. Turret and I moved quickly. I shot out of our room and opened Cookie's. Turret took a shot but missed. Cookie did some kinda cool space-kungfu flip and sliced the Jawa. And then once I got done gawking, I finished him off with my blaster. Turret was a little miffed he couldn't get the kill. It turns out the Sith Jawa apprentice was a droid. Or part droid. Or maybe they sent a droid that looked like the Sith Jawa and the Sith Jawa is instead sitting on the Baron's shipping exclaiming "uteenee." And then came the inevitable talk with Bow'lurr. Apparently he's part of some kinda cult of anti-force-using assassins. As in, they tried to rid the Universe of force users. And during the middle of this ridiculous discussion (Cookie sure could talk people in circles), the gimp exclaimed we had about five minutes before a chain of events of smashing asteroids turned this one, Kreegan's home, into space dust. This cut the kill-or-not-kill-the-force-user discussion short (apparently Bow'lurr was more interested in the Baron than Cookie here and had been trying to come to an agreement to that end), and spurred everyone into action. Bow'lurr rushed off to get the asteroid moving, and we rushed off to board our ship and get the frick out of there. We did employ the gimp (Robert is his name? Really?) to give Bow'lurr some calculated coordinates of where to move Kreegan's asteroid to in order to get it to safety, and following, Robert gave us a series of targets that Turret could esplode in order to minimize damage to Kreegan's place. Once we'd blow up 3 or 4 of the asteroids and were pretty sure Kreegan's place would be safe, we headed off to find one of the ships via the beacon. We stopped midway there to test out the gimp, er, Robert, in a game of space-billiards. He totally pwned some monied Cerean and we got some loot out of the deal. We decided not to push our luck too much and headed on our way to the ship we were tracking. A week later we arrived at a water planet and ran a scan on the ship which was submerged to quite extremely pressured depths. We began running scans on the thing to get an idea of its capabilities. We leveraged Robert's knowledge about the Baron's hyperdrive system in reference to this ship's system, and discussed the possibility of building one for the Tempest. We sent the garbage can droid out to attached a wireless widget so I could attempt to hack into the ship's computers. We figured it may be easier to move the ship to the surface of the planet rather than try to break into it's nearly impenetrable shell under so much water pressure. While I was working on my hacking, apparently Cookie had a visitation by some kind of force-using being trapped on the ship. After a few minutes of communications bungling, I sent the gay droid off to assist him in translating. So I guess they started having some kind of conversation. And then a few minutes later, I heard a "....THUNK." Cookie was on the floor and the gay droid was sputtering like a ninny. I ordered the gay droid to check Cookie's vitals and after a moment of collecting its robotic self, the gay droid reported that Cookie was OK, just passed out from mental overload. A few minutes later Cookie came to, and once we were sure he was okay, I resumed my hacking into the ship. Not long after that, I succeeded in gaining access to the ship's computers. We brought the Tempest in close to the ship and I triggered the docking bay to allow us inside. Once the Tempest was landed the docking bay doors were shut again, I popped the main door on the Tempest (after assurance from the sensors and the force-spirit that the life support system was functional and capable of supporting us) and we all headed out into the main hangar bay. -------------------- Loot to spend (xLy == x level y cost items): * 4L4 * 1L2
