The dark presence seemed to recede once the ax was replaced in the giant king's hands. After a bit of debate, we inspected the chests behind him for traps (which there were). Cademon disarmed the traps and unlocked the chests, revealing a bounty.
We loaded up as much as we dared and then dragged everything to the waiting mammoths. After loading them up, we were back in Drinidok in a mere day and a half as the storm had dissipated. We were feted as heroes, and much oohing and aahing over Logru's new sword commenced.
After another tenday, we returned to Phlan and deposited our belongings for safe keeping at the Scarlet Accord. Then we checked in with Ms Rasam to receive our reward. A quick trip to Ohlo's netted my companions many scrolls and trinkets, whilst I contented myself with a double bandolier of healing potions, 20 in all.
After accepting the commission to investigate the goings on at Ravenglass, I took nocturnal flight to get the lay of the land. A lighthouse seemed to guard the seaward and landward approaches, so it seemed best to start there. The next day we set out.
As we arrived a storm began to roll in. This storm was… wrong. It should not have been, it seemed the land itself was striving to scare us away. We sought shelter in a cave. After noticing some dusty bottles at the back, we were attacked by a spirit that seemed to possess Logru and was of a singular mind to relight the beacon.
After chasing it through the weather, I helped Logru-spirit light the beacon where he settled back to defend the beacon through the night. I cast some bones and determined that the night would not pass without incident. In the flashes of lightning we were able to make out a ghost ship approaching and … something or somebody coming out of the surf. We counted north of 70 attackers making for our position.
We drew ourselves up and prepared to meet their attack.
