Bane Means Bad

After relaxing for a bit and doing a bit of shopping we decided it was time to continue our push to reclaim the city. This time, we set our sites on the Temple of Bane. This should help to increase the number of healing potions available to us. Aside from that, it really was on Thilius' short list, and he seemed like a standup sort of guy. To that end, we went to talk to the local clergy to see what was what.

I think he was a bishop, but I'm not big on titles. Regardless, he put us in touch with an older gentleman was an acolyte or something 50 years ago when the temple was sacked. Supposedly he knew where some relics were stashed, or at the very least could identify them as we uncovered them.

So we set out on the Temple's chartered boat across the noxious river. We set foot on the bare shore with very little cover. We made good our approach and penetrated the district. After a bit of scouting, we uncovered a lot of very organized patrols, and decided to attempt to obviate their combat capacity. To that end, we engaged a group of patrolling minotaurs. They were tough, but in the end we triumphed.

Then we picked a fight with a band of half orcs. In and of themselves, they weren't much of a challenge, but they had a runner, so we were compelled to dispatch some ally spirits to bring him (or her? I can rarely tell) to heel. The fight over, and the initiative on our side, we looked for another place to strike whilst the iron was hot.
