So we made a deal with Alabaster allowing him to squat in the manse, then met with the sidereals and then Berrel to get everyone all organized and working on getting the airship working. After that was put into action, we headed over to Rathess.

I think our new situation in life has made Volt extremely paranoid. We knew we had to make it to the center of the city, but we could see dozens of different groups of dragon kings spread out, and an encounter seemed inevitable. The rest of us were confident we could handle any trouble we came across (after all, Isha and Rath killed a giant tyrant lizard just while me and Volt were scouting). But Volt didn't want to risk anyone spotting us and warning the Empress. So we stealthily weaved through the city, Volt and I guiding Isha and Rath down a path that would avoid any contact with others.

We made it to the center of the city, and waited until nightfall to scale the temple so we wouldn't be seen. But we were, Rath and I both saw a creepy pair of eyes from one of the tents in the now closed for the day market place. We weren't sure who the eyes belonged to, but Rath trusted no one, he said if I didn't snipe the guy, he would go down there and take care of it himself. Since it did not seem like he was going to suffer any suspicious individual who's seen us to live, and him heading back down there was risky when I could end this with one well placed shot, I did. I think I took down whatever was staring at us.

The temple was fraught with traps. We came upon a burial chamber of Queen Merelea, ths former consort to the Unconquered Son. There were creepy glass statues in the room, which made us think they were either golems, or there was a scary creature lurking about who could turn us into glass. We discovered it was definitely the former, though its possible people killed by the glass golems got turned into glass guardians themselves. We figured out the guardians would activate if moonlight hit Merelea's sarcophagus, so Volt blocked the moonlight with his cloak. But not before tying up all the guardians with rope in case they did come to life.

We figured out we could move it, revealing a hidden chamber beneath. The rest of them made it down first while I covered them. However, when Rath descended, the sarcophagus suddenly shut back into place, trapping them down there. I had my own things to worry about though, the glass guardians began to spring to life. But luckily, they were tied up, so they were easy pickings for my arrows. All that was left was shattered glass. I tried pushing the sarcophagus, and it eventually moved again. I could sense the glass shards were constituting back together into something, so I dove down below, since the others indicated it was now safe. Apparently they were caught in some mirror trap that would've baked them alive, but they shattered the mirrors to stop it.

The next chamber had a glowing stone in the center of the room, and the floors were glass. I was sure that what we were looking for and started to head toward it. Isha stopped me and snapped me out of it, apparently I was mesmerized. Rath was similarly enchanted, but Volt managed to spirit him back to safety. Again, he covered up the gem, which seemed to end its enchanting effect. Without it calling us to the center of the room with undue haste, regardless of the precariousness of the floor, we managed to slowly make our way across safely.

We then came upon a spherical chamber filled with sand. We soon figured out there were essence jets that blew the sand around at such velocity that it could easily shred anything. I tried shooting the jets with essence arrows, but they were protected. Eventually, Rath figured his tornado would provide enough of a buffer that we could make our way across relatively unharmed, and we did.

Which leads us to the last chamber…
