We seemed to have cracked the case of the killer vines. It was no Fae incursion or some other supernatural occurance. Rather, the cause was somewhat mundane. I mean, goblin fruits were involved, but it was more a case of normals not knowing what they were getting themselves into. After an investigation into the other victims, we came to the conclusion they all frequented the same Vietnamese market. Sure enough, after looking into the market, we found they were selling some sort of supernatural fruit, which we took to Jebediah Crabapple, local goblin fruit expert.

What looked like strange plantains were goblin fruit indeed. We soon learned the seller, an old man named Tu Cong Lee, had been bullied by his son in law, Dien Ho, into selling the items. Apparently there's a hedge gate in Tu's garden, and his jerk of a son in law came across them. They supposedly left the eater with a somewhat euphoric sensation, and the son in law (who apparently was a gangster and in some criminal organization called the Five Ts) felt that there was money to be made in selling this. The problem is, eat enough of them, and well, you know the results, that's what brought this situation to our attention!

So, we closed the gate permanently, and framed Dien Ho, getting him arrested so he hopefully won't hurt Tu Cong Lee and his daughter anymore. Not that the daughter would appreciate it. He's kinda abusive, and is effin around right in front of her face. This seemed to really piss Lana off.

Owel, hopefully that's the end of it, because these past few days have been crazy. And not because of any weird faerie or other supernatural thing. During our investigation, Deena gives me a call. She figured, that she, Faye, and I needed to get together and sit down to “clear the air” as it were. Lana and I had been looking into some youth basketball league one of the victims had set up. Even though I was Lana's ride, I figured she'd be okay. She was too busy flirting with the guy who took over the league, Father Tom Burns, anyways even though he's a priest!

Anyways, I meet her and Faye at some bar and decided to talk things out. I told Faye Deena and I were just friends and was all “can't we all just get along?” Things were awkward at first, but after some social lubrication, the tension in the air seemed to fade. Faye looked past the cock and saw I wasn't bad, just because I was a guy. And I saw she wasn't too bad herself now that she wasn't constantly staring daggers at me. Faye's definitely pretty cute. Its too bad she's not into guys. The rest of that night is hazy, due to the number of drinks we ended up kicking back. I think we went overboard trying to loosen the situation up. I know I ended up in bed with both of them. Which was, by the way, awesome! I only had sex with Deena though- while I did make out with Faye, she wouldn't let me get any farther than that. She had no qualms about me watching her and Deena though.

But we had another drunken make out session a few days later. No sex that time though. Still, I felt slightly guilty leaving the others with the case while I went off to cavort with cute college girls. But there was a lull in our investigation and nothing we could really do at that point anyways, so I didn't feel that guilty. Like, I wouldn't have gone off to see the girls if I was needed, I wouldn't leave the others hanging.

Of course, during our investigation, I met this intriguing girl named Tina Ngo. She was at the Vietnamese market, and I read her as supernatural. So, we thought she might've had something to do with the vines, but it was just a big koinky-dink. Still, I had to be sure, so I asked her out on a date. I met her at a roller rink with some of her friends, and we had a pretty fun time. I tried asking her a few questions to try and surreptitiously see if she had anything to do with the deaths, but it looks like she was a red herring. I'm curious about what she is though. I'll have to see her again. Hopefully no one will end up thinking I'm some kinda player. Its not like I'm interested in Tina in that way. And anyways, I'm not going out with Deena, we're just fooling around. So if Tina wanted to do something, I wouldn't be averse to it.
