So we'd been wandering around the past few months while Lyndee researched any jobs/scores of interest out there that could prove fruitful. I continued to protect the “princess”, it was good money, and I've been through enough with her and Savn that it was as good a path as any.

Eventually she found one, from this guy named Zrak, who was apparently inducted into the Cult of Revan at the same time as us? Guess he wasn't too memorable. Anyways, he wanted us to steal some plans for some revolutionary hyperdrive technology from an Imperial lab, or if we couldn't to totally destroy the research. The job would take us to Balmorra.

Unfortunately the planet was blockaded by both Imperial and Republic ships. We approached from the Imperial side and Lyndee cooked up some credentials to get us planetside. We claimed we were looking for work, which was a legitimate excuse as mercs were being sought out by both sides as the war raged on. After passing the background check and filling out useless paperwork, they gave us an assignment to wipe out a Republic outpost, no survivors.

After we were done with that bureaucratic nonsense, Lyndee hacked the tracked they put on our ship to monitor our movements. I was all for wiping out the outpost to secure our cover, but it was in the complete opposite direction of our mission, so we headed to the Imperial research station. On the way there, we decided to find a patrol we could ambush and steal their uniforms and swoops so we could sneak into the local garrison in order to steal a more appropriate vehicle befitting an emissary with which to get into the research station.

We found one, and put our plan into motion. Lyndee was in the road, blocking their path, looking like she was attacked and asking for their help. It got them to stop, and while they were immediately suspicious, we just needed them stopped long enough for Savn and I to ambush them. I started laying down sniper fire while Savn charged in, laser sword blazing. We quickly made short work of them, and then radio-ed the base. They had already contacted the garrison saying they were under attack, which was fine by us, as we wanted to come in look like we were ambushed. It would account for why there were only three of us.

So after dropping off one of the bodies and claiming we were heading to medical, we went to the motor pool to steal a vehicle. Some mechanic began nosing around, so I kicked the crap out of him and hid his body out of view. Then we drove off. We think the base personnel seemed suspicious, but made no move to stop us. Perhaps they were expecting the vehicle's emergency cut-off to kick in before we fled? Unfortunately for them, Lyndee disable that and the tracker, so we took off without incident.
