Have We Stepped into an Uwe Boll Movie?

[ Previous ] [ Back ] [ Next ]

So we headed back to Atlanta from Mexico and met with BOOBS. BOOBS let it be made known the infamous Nazi Goebbels was a scion of Calliope, and that he had an artifact from his mother that if we could locate, could potentially get us a way of locating the muses. Apparently the item was on one of two submarines being transported to Japan at the end of the war. Unfortunately, both were sunk on the way: one off the coast of Norway and one off the coast of Malaysia. I guess this item was a scroll of some sort, with inspirational Nazi propaganda.

After some discussion, we decided to go eliminate the “easy one”, the one off the coast of Malaysia. It was easier because it wasn't as deep and it had been “cleaned”, so no one cared about it anymore. We geared up and flew to Penang, Malaysia. We rented a ship in port and Jack sailed us out to the location. Niko hopped down and attached the guide rope, and then proceeded to get attacked by Zombie Nazis on the sea floor. Jack followed him in but I guess Niko made chum of them with ease.

I hopped in after Jack and swam down too. We searched half of a ship and then located the other half of the ship. After searching the fore section, we came up with nada. It could've been strewn somewhere on the sea floor, but we decided we could search forever but had no real way of homing in on it. So we decided to go check out the Norway wreck, and if neither of them produced anything, only then would we have to try and figure out a new strategy.

So apparently Jack had contacted Lars, who got us in touch with some other dude, a scion of Heimdall named Halvard Vardberg. So we flew to Bergen, Norway, and met up with Halvard to see if he could help us get access to the shipwreck which was much deeper than the Malay one, and contaminated with mercury, and so was within a government containment zone.

Halvard told us he had a contact on a survey ship that could doctor the paperwork and get us on the ship, and it would be up to us to play the part of Texaco reps surveying for areas to drill. And that we could then probably use the robot probe thing to search the wreck. The ship was crewed by the Norwegian Navy so they could basically go wherever they wanted, and all we'd have to do was maintain our personas.

Two days later, we disembarked a helicopter, and stepped onto the deck of the survey ship, crewed by 200 or so. Halvard's contact, Lt Arne Ramm, met us and gave us a short tour and explained what we'd have to do. He was a mortal, but “in the know”, if you know what I mean. Anyway, we checked out the robot and the control room briefly, and then prepared ourselves to have dinner with the captain whereby we would have to endure small talk about an industry we were only pretending to work in…
