Lots and lots of goblins
With a heavy sigh, we charged forward. Najila was fastest off the mark and dropped a fireball on the masses, thinning them out significantly. I took advantage of the holes ripped in their lines by calling forth some wolves to aid our struggle. Unfortunately, they didn't last but a few moments before their essence was released back to the feywild. They did soak up few hits before departing.
We did start to take some nasty ranged fire. I was forced to cover the area with fog and hope for the best. The others had a tough go of it, but they managed to hold the line. The new guy was able to cover our rear for a bit with an illusion before they wised up.
I had to shift to a bear to buy a bit more time, which just barely was sufficient. I was able to take out a few of them before their leader was felled causing a collapse of their line. The rest parlayed a surrender and left us in charge of the well.
Their leader's documents showed him to be a rather complicated character. It is unfortunate that we didn't get a chance to meet before our paths crossed in such an unfortunate way.
