19-20 Tarsakh

We rested in the chieftains chambers fairly confident we wouldn't be bothered. Feeling a bit better, we headed downstairs to finish the job.

We moved through the middle floor pretty easily, encountering a number of orcs preparing for their time in the ring. Separated as they were, they posed no threat. One particular incident saw two groups threaten to overrun us, but our lines held and they were defeated. I had a bit of tactical over-exuberance where I tried to create an opening by rushing in too far, too fast, and paid the price losing both a shift and a potion.

After the main portion of the floor was pacified, we scouted the basement and discovered Ohlo's chest. No further orcs presented, so we turned our attention to the main event.

It was nearly a debacle. Our opening failed pretty spectacularly, and we took a terrible beating. We were all bloodied and battered by the time the Eye of Gruumsh (twin and sister-wife to the one upstairs) fell. Poor Logru survived only by virtue of the magical amulet we lifted from the orc chieftain just hours before

Completely exhausted, we barred the doors and setup watches and hunkered down for the night. In the morning we loaded up and snuck back to town. The slums were now very quiet… our work was done.

The council evidently had a special job for us next. We'll check in and see what that is.
