Sailed into the city of Phlan on a ship on the moonsea. Met some interesting characters, decided we might work well together as a band. The ship landed and we disembarked and headed up to city hall.

After checking in at city hall, we met Jeanine, who works for the city. She took our names down and pointed us to the general store keeper, Cockburn. Said he had a job that we might be suited for.

With that, we set out to Cockburn's general store. Cockburn seemed like a nice enough sort, had a problem in his cellar. He had been expanding it, digging deeper, and had exposed a rather nasty rat issue that needed to be taken care of.

Some sword swings, fire bolts, and one hugeass thunderstorm belched out of the cleric later, we had a cleared cellar, tunnel, and, apparently, sewer tunnels.

We found amongst the bodies of the vermin the remains of another person who hid down here during the dragon attacks. He had several items of value in addition to some actual gold. Plus, a diary. Diary indicated he returned to fetch his family's valuables in the escape attempt. He did not make it, but hopefully his family had.

We ventured back up into the general store and consulted with Cockburn about his cellar. From there we headed to an inn to eat and stay the night before deciding what further tasks we should handle.
