As soon as everyone started reacting to the fight, Najila scorched the goblins with a large fireball. Even before the heat and smoke had dissipated, Kethys summoned a large group of wolves to assist us on the front line. Logru and I stepped up to the front where the wolves were, and slew goblins left and right. The wolves were soon gone, leaving just us to guard the front. A roiling mist sprang forth in the middle of the room, providing us with some cover from the back line of archers.
Even with taking large amounts of damage, we were able to mitigate it with magic and potions. Soon it was down to just us and the half-orc boss. He dropped, and we brought our fight to it's conclusion. The fog dissipated, allowing us to secure the room. While we were doing that, I heard about how Cademon had used his skills to keep the goblins from coming up behind us and decimating our ranks there.
As we rested, we noticed a lone goblin down one of the halls, waving a white flag. I spoke with them, and they were just wanting to surrender, leaving the complex. My terms to them were to leave Old Phlan, and to not return. They agreed, and more than a dozen left, leaving us alone in the well's hallways. We searched the boss's room, and discovered some treasure, and a magic gate of some sort. We also found his journal. Reading that provided us with some insight to the groups that have invaded Old Phlan, that they are not as coordinated as we might have thought.
