Swiftwind faithfully followed the fleeing brigand to Dargoth's Huntman's Club. We pursued. The owner of the club, Dargoth, refused our entry. We rested and returned in the morning, with Swiftwind and Willow keeping silent vigil.
The next morning, our varied magics revealed that the brigand had arrived through the kitchen, taken a key from the cook, then left for parts unknown. Interrogation of the cook revealed that he had underhanded dealings with a club patron Mr. Larkin. We later learned that Mr. Larkin was ringleader of a kidnapping ploy. The harsh reminders of slavery infuriated us.
Investigation of Mr. Larkin's properties revealed two young girls hidden in a warehouse. We liberated them.
Freshly deputized, we went to Mr. Larkin's estate for additional proof of wrong-doing. We used our powers to escape the guards' notice. Inside, I coaxed the spirit of the safe to reveal its contents. A ledger, guarded by harsh magics. Grey dismissed them. The illicit ledger (and Larkin's downfall) was ours!
