Biography:
Abdul the Butcher. Some believe him to be an urban legend, a vampiric bogeyman used to scare younger kindred into believing there are far worse things than themselves lurking in the shadows. Others see him as a cautionary tale, warning kindred of the kind of sick monster they'll become if they fully give themselves to the beast.
Those that think him real believe him to be an assassin for hire, a deadly warrior that Princes call upon when they want a well protected enemy to know true terror before being released into final death. However, the rumor is that most Princes are hesitant to utilize his services unless absolutely necessary because of the horrors he will most likely inflict on kine and kindred alike while in their domain. Abdul is a serial rapist, torturer, and murderer with all sorts of deviant proclivities, all too willing to commit diablerie whenever he can get away with it. So while Abdul never fails to execute a target, the trouble he can cause in a Prince's domain could easily draw the ire of mortal authorities and put an unnecessary spotlight on the Masquerade. In fact, there are those who even say several serial killers in the FBI and Interpol's databases are actually Abdul.
Since many believe he doesn't even really exist, what little is known about him is purely conjecture. From his name, most people guess him to be a man of Middle Eastern/North African descent. Abdul's stealth and fighting skills are supposedly unparalleled- it is said he is incredibly skilled with any weapon that carries an edge and moves about invisibly and as silent as death, his victims not even knowing he's around until its too late. While he is a killer for hire, he also hunts victims for his own perverse pleasures. The stories say his preferred targets are girls in their teens to early 20s, though he is also said to target young newlywed couples or entire families with one or more teenage daughters. In the latter cases, he forces the new husband to watch his wife endure all sorts of sexual torture, powerless to do anything to prevent it, or make the family engage in incestuous acts with one another. He'll supposedly even ghoul victims in order to prolong the torture before finally giving them a grisly death.
Abdul's legend is tied with those of two other mysterious kindred, Vladimir Rustakovitch and Valentina Giovanni. With Vladmir, it is believed Abdul was actually once the former Prince's sheriff and hound in the “old country”, Vladmir turning a blind eye to Abdul's devious appetites because he performed his duties well. However, the stories say Abdul either suddenly disappeared on Vladmir without explanation, or they had a falling out because the Prince could no longer suffer Abdul's monstrousness. As for Valentina, another kindred shrouded in myth, it is said the two were once lovers, Valentina using the assassin to help kill off her sire and other elders so that she could assume control of her bloodline.
Abdul has not been encountered or even spotted for many years, leading many to take the line that he is nothing more than a scary story. Though there is another crazy rumor that Abdul is currently in torpor, and either Vladmir or Valentina have the monster in “storage” to use for their own ends should the need for him arise.
