Biography:

Invictus Daeva and current favored childe of one of the city's most prominent and powerful Harpies, Jeanette St. Claire. Summer is as beautiful as she is intelligent, cunning as she is ruthless. She has always been good at captivating an audience with the perfect combination of grace, wit, and charm. Since her conversion, Summmer has become quite adept at combining her vampiric powers with her natural talents to manipulate people into doing whatever she wants. She can be often seen hanging out at the clubs with Cassie, Erin, and Hayley.

Born into an extremely rich Southern family, Summer was little miss perfect growing up, quite the opposite of her bad boy brother Jason. Both Mitchell children were popular and admired by their peers, but while he was busy partying and causing trouble at school, she was busy excelling in all of her subjects and becoming student body president. It infuriated her to no end that Jason didn't seem to care about his reputation, when reputation was all that Summer cared about. She had worked hard on her image as a smart, classy, and virtuous young lady, and Jason was marring that perfect image with his embarrassing behavior.

The reason that image was so important to Summer was because she was her daddy's little angel, in more ways than one. When she was younger, her father Miles spoiled her, and she always tried to make him proud. But he started looking at her differently once she hit puberty, and soon after he was sneaking into her bed in the middle of the night. Her mother was always too drunk or hopped up on painkillers to notice or care. And Jason was already being used as a whipping post by Miles whenever he was causing trouble and embarassing the family (which was all the time), and if he couldn't protect himself, how was he supposed to protect her?

So Summer dealt with the situation by going into full on denial mode. By becoming little miss perfect, it made the abuse seem less real. It did take a mental and emotional toll on her though, turning her into a cruel and manipulative bitch wearing a mask of goody-goodiness. She could only take so much though, and by the time she had graduated high school, she was dead set on getting as far away from her father as she could. Summer managed to blackmail her father into giving her access to her trust at 18, and once she got a hold of that money, she just up and left.

Summer travelled the world for the next couple of years before settling down in Paris. It was here that she met the Daeva Jeanette St. Claire. The succubus took a liking to the young girl, eventually embracing Summer (who took her sire's name) and mentoring her. Jeanette educated her new childe in politics, seduction, and manipulation, and Summer proved she was a quick learner in the vampire courts of both Paris and London.

When Summer discovered her father Miles had been killed, she was elated. Soon afterwards, her sire suggested they go to Atlanta- the Invictus ranks there had been ravaged and it was an advantageous political situation. With her father gone, Summer agreed. Besides, she had to get a hold of that inheritance money she had been owed for putting up with her father's despicable ways. Things didn't work out as planned, and when Summer's attempt to get her inheritance out of her brother (now going by the name JC) failed, she tried to kill him, causing his latent magical powers to awaken. Despite this setback, Summer is still a rising star among the Invictus in Atlanta.

Since the incident with JC, Summer's relationship with her brother continues to be estranged. Each sees the other as a reminder of their horrible childhood. And its a point of contention between the two who had it worse. While Summer would argue she had to deal with her own father continually having his way with her, JC would argue at least she got out, abandoning him and their mom (who eventually killed herself), and that their father raped and murdered the love of his life. In any case, the two are often seen running in the same social circles, the siblings' rivalry a constant source of tension between the guild and the vampires of Atlanta.
