Cai was the second child of a poor Georgian redneck family of VERY wolf-blooded individuals. His father is a Rahu (full-moon) werewolf, and his mother is a very wolf-blooded human. He has two sisters, his older sister, Clover, who is also a Rahu werewolf and loves to torment and tease him to no end, and his younger sister, Calla, who is just a human, whom he strives to protect from the craziness of his wolf-blooded family.
He belongs to a pack that claims the northern side of the Atlanta area, north of I-20, east of GA-400, and all the way up to and past I-575. This pack includes his sister, Clover, and 4 other individuals, and is represented by the spirit, Curious-Tiger-of-Iron-Fangs.
Cai's first change was very late compared to most, while he was in college at Georgia Tech, and it was an incredibly traumatic experience for him, so he is somewhat cautious about anything he is required to do involving his werewolf powers and pack. Secretly, he is rather unhappy about his werewolf heritage and the flaws that come with it, and is scared to death of them interrupting his normal “human” life and/or passing them on to anyone else.
Cai decided, consciously or not, to diverge himself from his family's low-rung status, unlike his sister, Clover. His day job is that of a Forensic scientist who works for the GBI, and the state of Georgia (as needed). As a supplementary income, he keeps his eye to market conditions and trades as he sees fit. Whether it be intelligence or just damn good luck, he managed to buy low into a technology company right before they got purchased by Sun Microsystems, and as a result, acquired quite a large sum of money with their purchase. With this, he has purchased an extremely expensive house in a well-to-do neighborhood off of Moore's Mill, as well as a silver '04 Maserati Spyder GT.
His sister, Clover just loves his car, and asks to drive it just about every time she sees him. He almost always turns her down, as she tends to be kind of a reckless speed demon when she gets behind the wheel.
Lately, he has taken an interest in the strange girl, Liannan, who seems to have a connection with the spirit world that confounds and interests him. It helps that she's very, uh… cute, too. Not that he's interested in that kind of thing, no, not that, never that. Well, not that he would admit.
