We spent an obnoxious amount of time setting up a kill floor in the hangar bay before we had Robert jump the ship to the specified coordinates. We didn't have to wait for long until the Baron's ship was detected on the scanners. It dropped out of hyperspace on top of the ship. Lyndee said they detached a bunch of robots to begin removing the beacon. Quick thinking on Lyndee's part blanked it As his droids worked, his ship suddenly vanished.

Two other ships had appeared at some point. They appeared to be freighters outfitted for combat. They took up formation around the ship and began to clamp on. Suddenly, we were informed the ship's power systems were being shutdown. Lyndee traced the problem and isolated it as a hard failure in engineering. Argent and I were making our way to where we expected the assault ships to try to breach changed our destination to engineering. The power ended up failing, stalling the starboard tram. Lyndee rerouted power from the life support to get it moving again. It turned out that Malevius did a short distance jump to end up inside the ship. Clever. Instead of advancing his plans personally, he took the opportunity to gloat. Stupid.

As we closed on engineering, battle droids began to enter the kill zone. Lyndee made quick work of them with the Tempest's guns, but was forced to withdraw due to the decompression of the atmosphere.

We forced the door to engineering and encountered a trio of hired goons. Our first battle droid was cut to pieces upon entry. Argent and the second made it in one piece using a flamethrower for concealment. I rolled in and tried to convince the Gamorean that he was being betrayed by his colleagues. A massive firefight was started; I tried to cause as much confusion in the hired goon squad as I could before resorting to personal action. Malevius was aboard his ship. His presence could have tipped the battle, but his arrogance didn't allow that. Instead he left his work to his comrades. We made decently quick work of the support droids while the carbon-based life forms started wailing away on each other with their melee weapons. The baron's ship began firing to add to the confusion. I was able to deflect one of the bolts back and appeared to severely damage it.

This force the baron to jump out. We informed Lyndee, who made an attack run on him, but was unable to prevent his escape. We waited for the goon squad trio to become a goon squad unity, and then took him prisoner. In exchange for medical help, he gave us all the details he knew of the baron's locations. We quickly met up with Lyndee to follow after him. With luck, we'll be able to catch up before he goes to ground and take him out in his ship.

Maybe the force will be with us.
