Quick Bio:
Large and imposing, Niko is an incredible physical specimen in peak human condition. That being said, he's not exactly “book-smart”, which combined with his gruff personality, can make him come off as a brutish ogre. But despite his average intelligence, he's actually very quick witted and quite perceptive. While other Scions delve into learning the more esoteric powers of their divine lineage, his focus has been mainly developing his body to superhuman levels. Indeed, he excels in every athletic endeavor he tries, thanks to the ichor that flows through his veins.

As a son of Ares, it is combat that is his forte though, and he is extremely skilled at fighting and killing. Niko is pretty proficient with firearms, but monstrous in close combat. He can easily and literally tear a man apart with his bare hands, but with a melee weapon (like his axe) he is even more deadly. Though he's not particularly gifted at strategy, he shows impressive tactical acumen. This is due mostly to Niko's uncanny ability to read people physically- sense how they move, get a feel for their rhythm. In battle, this allows him to read what his allies are about to do and quickly figure out the best way to enhance their efforts to put a real hurt on someone. It also lets him easily find a weakness in his enemies' defenses and exploit it to devastating effect. While this makes him an extremely good fighter, and would make him an effective battle leader, he has shown little interest in the latter. He prefers to let someone else take the wheel and insert himself where needed. Niko feels he's a warrior, not a general, and as such would rather be pointed in the direction of the asses that need kicking and let loose, leaving the big picture thinking to someone smarter than he.

Niko lives for combat and most of his hobbies reflect that. He is an avid weapon collector, and enjoys hunting, working out, and mixed martial arts. Although Niko was an all-star athlete in high school, he rarely participates in competitive sports anymore, as the normal human opponents he would end up facing provide little challenge due to his divine advantage. This is the main reason he relishes the chance to face titanspawn and other scions in battle, as they are a true test of his mettle. Still, Niko has spent time in a governmental task force focused on fighting supernatural threats before his father's Visitation. And although he knows his former unit is often outclassed by the threats they face, he also knows they are not to be taken lightly. As such, Niko holds tremendous respect for everyone who faces him on the battlefield, never discounting a foe just because they may be “mere mortals”.

Ares left three relics for his son upon his Visitation. The first is a pair of dog tags that allows Niko to access the war purview. The second is a studded leather belt that increases Niko's already ridiculous strength to even greater levels. Finally, Niko also wields a wicked looking labrys decorated with a angry looking skull. He is prone to making terrible axe jokes and puns when using it to cut down enemies in battle.

How did your divine ancestry get revealed to you? Nick's former squad had been sent to investigate a suspicious insurgent camp in Iraq that ended up being full of titanspawn. His colleagues had all been slaughtered, and Nick would have been too if Ares did not show up to help him fight them off.

You're rich/well-off… how did you make your money? Pilfered slush funds “inherited” from his former squad when they got wiped out, supplemented by the occasional contract from Executive Enterprise Solutions, a Private Military Contractor based in Atlanta, Georgia.

What is one thing your colleagues know about you? That Nick is a former black ops soldier now living under a new identity.

What is one secret your colleagues don't know about you? That the former black ops unit he belonged to was part of a government group organized to deal with “supernatural threats”.

Do you still keep in touch with your non-divine parent? No, Nick cut off all ties with his family when he changed his identity.
