Shalleah Hyaranon is Cassie's mother, and is beautiful as the day is long. Her line is descended from angels, and it is very obvious upon first look that she inherited all of the ancestor angel's majestic and ethereal beauty. It was this beauty and carriage that caused Cassie's father, Sakai Seiji, the exiled Masayuman, to fall in love with her within the first moment of seeing her in the Cinderhome market. It is unknown whether or not Shalleah has passed on her angelic nature to any of her children, as it seems Cassie didn't get much if any of it.
