United in Misery

In 4364, slavers from Upper Thalia raided several Lower Thalian villages in search of more labor for the fire mines. The village of Traubin suffered in particular with all children below the age of 10 taken to work in the hot, cramped mines.

All the characters will be children taken from the village. Any rural background would be appropriate. Characters will have been slave miners for some number of years before their size would render them unsuitable for such labors. The Upper Thalians would have found a new use for the character in the slave camps.

Any concept that can fit within framework will be permitted, though some concepts may require more work.

The game will start with the orphan characters living and working with the proprietor of Bagram Fossil's Occluded Rainbow Inn. They will have been placed in his care following their escape to Alestia.

Characters will be in their late teens at the start, preparing to strike out on their own. Characters will start fully developed, but their magical abilities will suffer some difficulties as they've recently grown into them. These difficulties will subside over the first few games.
