Biography:
Hope, or Ms. Hutter, as she's known to her students, is an English teacher and the varsity cheerleading coach at Regis Day Academy (high school alma mater of Summer St Claire of the Invictus and J.C. Mitchell of the Mage Guild, before the former was turned and the latter awakened, obviously). High school has always been a confusing time for many young mortals, what with their hormones running rampant. And so the Muse picked her occupation to feed on the drama (or what passes for drama to high schoolers) and desires of her students while also allowing her to inspire the next generation of young writers.
Being an attractive woman, Hope knows the feelings she evokes in her students, and even some of her fellow teachers. Her conservative but still sexy style of dress and kind, friendly demeanor make her an object of desire for many of the boys and men at the school. However, rarely does she sleep with any of them, lest she lose her job or worse, get arrested. She derives her pleasure just from keeping her students in rapt attention. Hope did have a brief fling with JC when he was her student- though he had slept with girls before, she was the first woman he slept with who had real experience.
Though she likes being the focus of attention, Hope's position as varsity cheerleading coach allows her to help those girls in her charge know that feeling as well. While her bikini car wash fundraisers for the cheerleading team and choice of the team's uniforms were considered somewhat controversial, they do provide for a lot of lust for her to feed on. Not that sexual desire is the main focus of her harvesting. Hope is always encouraging her more gifted English students to try out for academic schorlarships she's found for them, subtly inspiring them to create beautiful and brilliant compositions, harvesting glamour from their desire to get into a good college. Though Summer did not end up going to college after she graduated, the girl did provide a lot of “drive” for Hope to feed on throughout her academic career.
While desire is the main focus of her court, Hope actually likes experiencing the whole gamut of emotions. She finds the high school environment quite malleable towards this end, and Hope knows how to evoke any aspect of the emotional spectrum here. For example, Hope knows just by giving a slightly lower grade to a student who expected a better grade and/or with very pushy parents, she can get anger, sorrow, or fear. She's also not above eavesdropping on whatever silly dramas her high schoolers have going on and using that knowledge (coupled with her faerie magic) to create any situation she wants, harvesting the emotions given off by those involved.
With regard to the Courts, Hope is one of the more active Spring courtiers, and is almost always one of the changelings organizing the various Spring Court celebrations. Hope is particularly fond of the Spring Revel, and works hard in ensuring that it is a success.
