To Level-Up within a career, you must:
- Purchase at least one Talent from your current career level
- Check your current career level in the table below. To move up, you must have this many advances in:
- All Characteristics available to your current career level (p48) (note: that's 4 Characteristics for a level 2 career)
- 8 of your career's available Skills up to the current career level (p48) (note: these can be Skills made available from a lower career level)

- Must have at least 1 point in 1 Talent in the current tier
- Leave an Incomplete Career (Level): 200 XP
- This is done before reaching the next Level of a Career
- You do this to start another Career track (e.g., Apothecary → Priest)
- This is done when you want to level other skills/charas/talents but don't care about going to a higher level in a career path
- Purchase Career Characteristic advances (varies, see table)
- Purchase characteristic advances associated with your current Career's current Level or lower
- Purchase Career Skills (varies, see table)

- You may only purchase Talents up to the limit as specified in the talent description
- You may only purchase Talents associated with your CURRENT Career Level
- Changing Career Level: 100 XP
- You can move up or down in Career Levels as long as you meet the requirements
